It was clear this was going to be a high impact, fun, engaging and well executed campaign. It’s a great way to celebrate the Zoo’s 90th birthday and also raise awareness of conservation. We were keen to have our very own Great Gorilla in the centre so that we could be part of the official trail and mass public art exhibition. This in turn has PR benefits and engages and adds value and interest for our shoppers.
We have benefitted from PR and the social media buzz and our Great Gorilla is enjoying a lot of attention. We have created a trail of foot, hand prints and banana splats to intrigue and lead shoppers to find our Great Gorilla. We have also located our gorilla in a specific area of the centre where we wanted to drive footfall.
Located in the heart of Exeter, with the iconic cathedral as its backdrop, Princesshay is home to over 70 shops and restaurants, covering the very best of the high street names as well as some specialist and independent stores and a host of dining options with flavours from around the world, catering for every taste.
