‘Five Minutes to Midnight’
The artist has used different clock and watch faces to illustrate the Doomsday phrase “Five Minutes to Midnight” which highlights the urgent need to save endangered gorillas. The smiley watch face symbolises the hope which projects like Great Gorillas give.

Why did Wollen Michelmore want to become part of The Great Gorillas Project?
“Our links with the Zoo go back many years and when we heard of The Great Gorillas Project it certainly caught our imagination. This was an opportunity to be part of something bigger than the normal sponsorship opportunities. The chance to be involved in something so creative, which benefits the Zoo, as well as being an attraction for the many people who are visiting the region over the summer, has shown the benefits not only to us as a business, but also to the local community.”
